My first time...

It's my first time ever to scream in the cinema. LOL. Went to watch King Kong with A.Rachel last night. Finally. First we went to Mega Pavilion but there was no parking then decided to go to Cineplex Growball (out of desperate to watch). We arrived just in time for the show but not in time to buy popcorn. I personally think that the movie is good. There were some scenes that was really 'LOTR' moment. Not suprising since the director is Peter Jackson.

The night before I went out with A.Rachel, A.Ruth and Totoy. It was fun. Full of jokes and laughters. Went to the The Cruse in Tanjung Aru and met up with Fru-Fru. Nice place to play pool and karoake cos there was not that much poeple there <come we go again?> After that we went for supper at Backpackers. Not a bad place to eat.

Another one...

Received another Chirstmas gift from a very good friend of mine, Ivy. So good of her to drop by my house today and pay me a short visit. We had a really nice chat. When I took her gift to give it to her, she did the same thing with my gift...LOL...

What Christmas means to me.....

1. Lots of shopping sessions which includes buying gifts.

2. Hang out sessions with relatives and friends. I'm loving every minute of it.

3. Giving and receiving gifts. Will be having an exchanging gift session with my 'aunties' on Monday. I'm very excited. This year is the fouth year we're doing this. This is who I got for the pass 3 years: 2002-Astra, 2003-A.Lulu, 2004-A.Abelle and 2005-??? Will also be exchanging gifts with Vira, Eve and Ethel but the day is yet to be confirmed.

4. Open houses to attend and eating sessions (which means I'll be gaining weight this holiday season).

5. Last but not least, Christmas this year I'll be celebrating in Penampang. I'm so happy cause there's no place like home. Last year I was celebrating Christmas in KL where bythe place was alien to me and I nearly cried (watery eyes) when I heard my Papa and Popo's voice over the phone over Christmas. Can't wait for Christmas Eve Mass and Christmas Mass...it's just around the corner...more like next week.

Note: My house has no Chirstmas decorations. I was not in the mood because I couldn't find the decorations that I wanted.

Big Shout Out To .....

ETHELDRED VIVIEN DUMPANGOL
for celebrating her 21ST birthday today the 17 of December 2005.
Finally you're 21 girl.

The Yapp family, well my aunties and 1 baby cousin did our exchanging Christmas list already on Sunday at Coffee Bean. Not forgetting I still need to do exchanging gift with Ethel, Vira and Eve.

Still having cough and the worst part is that I'll be doing a solo this Saturday in church..aiyo...die la... And the worst part is, this is going to be the last time I'll be doing anymore solos in the church. Pray for me people so that I'll get better and could sing for HIM...

Today was baby Isaiah's baptism so went to St. Catherine's in Inanam. Papa is his Godfather. The both of them were really cute cos both were bold...heheh... Uncle Gordon's mum also was baptised today. Double joy.

Sent Astra's friend, Prisca, off to the airport this morning at 7am. This was the first time I woke up at 6am after I came back from Nilai.

Graduation!!!

It was a very tiring day for me. Not forgetting I was almost starving to death. But I’ve finally graduated. YEAH!!!!!! Even though my results were NOT that good but I’ve had the experience of graduating and being there and doing it. I’m also glad to meet my college mates. Really miss hanging out with them. Just doing crazy things. Didn’t take lots of picture cos I was in such a hurry to finish packing. Shanti, if you’re reading this I want the pictures. Thank you.

Went down to KL on that same day and stayed at a hotel in Chow Kit. Went to the night market to look for food.

Saturday: Went to 1 Utama and met with Aunty Lulu.

Sunday: Went to church at St. Anthony and then went to Sogo and had dinner at Sg Wang.

Monday: Went to MidValley and had dinner at Bukit Bintang. Went back to the hotel and started packing. It took mum and I quite sometime to finish packing because we kept on putting things in and out.

Tuesday: Woke up early and got ready for the airport. Reached the airport and checked in and our flight was delayed 45 minutes. Had brunch at KFC. Bought a book ‘The 5 people you meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom’. Stupid AirAsia, they changed the gate from A10 to A4. We had to walk all over. The flight was almost full. Came home save and sound. Heidi and Tierney was in the house cause Nenek Eng picked us up from the airport. The came out of the house with a bouquet of flower and shouted “Congratualation”. They looked adorable. The flowers were beautiful. Thank you to Aunty Rachel, Aunty Ruth, Aunty Selina, Aunty Abelle and Astra and of cos the 2 monkeys.

Note: Pictures will be up don't worry. Having a very bad Internet connection. The pictures not being uploaded.

2 weeks back in KL

Ivy and I didn’t have to pay for taxi because Jason picked us up from the airport. Thank you Jason. Stayed in Rebecca’s room in INTI illegally. Thanks Becca. Nilai was raining cats and dogs so we had to cancel our Malacca trip. Collected out gowns. Went to Penang and scared the hell out of Astra…hahhha….it was fun. Not forgetting got one aunty back here in Kinamount panicked…hehehehe….. Our trip however was really fun. The bus ride from KL bus station was 5 hours and we only made 1 stop. We just brought ourselves and nothing else with us. So yeah, we slept in the same clothes and went back to Nilai in the same clothes. Astra came to see us with Prisca. Had dinner with them. Had lots of food actually. We couldn’t stop eating and laughing and cuci mata. Well, actually Ivy and I only la yang berabis cuci mata. They were like everywhere….hehehehe…..Puas bah…. Went back to Nilai and I got sick. Penang virus. Went to Sunway Lagoon wet land the next day. I memang cari penyakit cos I was already down with flu, cough and sore throat and went to berendam again and kena hujan again, kena angin again. That night went to watch Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. I like the movie but too bad they missed a lot of things from the book. We stayed at Michelle’s place fro 2 night’s. Went to IKEA the next day and met up with Aunty Lulu and she belanja-ed dinner. Thank you. Had lunch the next day with Jonathan and Eric and some other before going back to INTI. Trip to Johor was cancelled too because we were tired and I had lots of clothes to wash. I had a really bad cough and sore throat.

AFTER

My luggage was overweight. I had to pay RM120 for it. My flight was SO not good. Luckily didn’t puke. Feels so good to be home. All I’ve been doing since I came back home was choir practice, choir practice and choir practice none stop. I was bullied by my musician again to sing new song with new melody and the melody was really killing me but all in all it went really well. Thank God. Went for Isaiah’s 1 month. Had 1 quicky yam cha session with Ethel. Had 1 lunch date with Eve, Ethel and Vira at pizza. Then had 1 lunch date again with Ethel and Eve. Hanged out with my aunties. Had a girl’s night out with them. Went shopping with 1 of my choir member. Went for a movie with Ivy and she came to the house a couple of times and we had yam cha session too. Went for movie with some choir members too. Attended some wedding receptions and the mass too. Attended birthday parties. Lost 6kg in 1 month. Became driver for people in the house. Went for Raya at my aunty’s place. Good food. My nanny came with her daughter and we had really good food in the house. Gained weight again. Packed and got ready to leave for KL to attend my convocation.

BEFORE

Went to stay with Aunty Lulu and Ethel in Subang and Sunway. Aunty Lulu belanja-ed me at TGV Fridays and they had this shows. Very erm cute. Thanks a lot for the food. Wanted to visit Aunty Ah Ching and the kids but they went for a holiday so tak jadi. Met up with Astra at Midvalley. The meeting was ‘a waste of my time and money’. Sorry Astra. Some of you out there reading this may not agree with my but if you were in my shoes, you’d understand. Oh and I’ve learnt the MOST valuable lesson from her, ‘Second hand smokers dies faster compared to second hand smokers. So better be a first hand smoker’. Valuable lesson isn’t it? Went to church with Ethel unfortunately ‘Mama’s boy’ wasn’t there. Accidentally saw this ‘Mama’s boy’ the first time I went there. Went for ‘Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka, na na na na na’ movie with Ivy and Ethel. The movie was very colourful and Johnny Depp looked different but in a good way kind of different. Was suppose to go Q-Bar after that but we changed our minds and did other things instead like eat and drink and joke and laugh. BIG LOVE to Ethel for letting Ivy and I sleep in her room. Which is only enough for 2. She had to sacrifice her sleep and wait till one of us wakes up then only she could sleep. When back to college just in time to wash clothes and pack and get ready to go home.

Redang Island

PULAU REDANG

25th August: Got back to college around 8pm and started to pack for Redang that night. Took my bath and continued packing again just to make sure I had enough clothes for the whole trip because this trip was going to be pretty wet. Went to meet the rest of the group at the MPH around 10pm but we left INTI around 11 something. My friend Sono was celebrating her birthday so they had cake and Gin on the bus. I was sleeping on and off on the bus cos of the noise and also the ride was kind of scary. Made a couple of stops for toilet and saw the erm ‘I think it was the tenaga something2 where they had a lot of lights and it was really nice’. OK I have no idea what that place is called.

26th August: Reached the port of Terengganu at 9 something and had to wait for another hour or so just to get on the boat to go to the island. The ride from the port to the island was about an hour and a half. First thing Ivy and I did when we were on the boat was breathe the fresh air. The island was beautiful. The water was clear and the sand was white and just nice la. So we check-in to our rooms. Ivy, Sono, Eling and I in one room. Of cos we were the seniors on the trip and the loudest and craziest. We actually had activity already for the day. Had lunch and they served fish. The food was really good. Had fish, eggs, vegetable and chicken. They even served soup and fruits and jus or syrup. Then after a while had snorkeling. I was a bit nervous cos for one I do not know how to swim and two I didn’t tell my parents that I was going to an island. But I did tell my parents that I was going on a college trip to Terengganu. Ok I lied but I did tell them in the end and they didn’t scold me also. I guess they knew the reason why I did it. Since I didn’t know how to swim the guide actually help me to see the under water creatures and I saw nemo. Sono and I were being pulled, Eling screaming all over the place and Ivy was swimming somewhere. It was really fun and exciting. Dinner was good too. Even though they served the same dish but the recipe was different. Hangout with the group and made some new friends too namely Joseph and Alvin. They are really funny and fun to be around with. We did a lot of lepaking before turning in for the night.

27th August: Couldn’t wake up for breakfast because half of my body was aching from the previous day’s activity of snorkeling and not forgetting the bicycle ride. Missed the morning snorkeling. Had lunch and got ready for the afternoon activity. I didn’t go into the water cos baru makan so I became the camera girl. It was fun taking pictures and I think I’m getting better at it. The last snorkeling was fun cos I got a chance to see a baby shark and nemo and dory. I kena sea sick, luckily didn’t vomit. So the medicine to this problem is, soak your whole head into the sea. In other words rendam your kapala dalam laut. That’s what Ivy told me to do. She pulled me around to on this last activity. Headed back to the room, didn’t bath in the toilet but outside of our room cos the water pressure outside was better than inside. Oh not forgetting there were squirrels looking at us taking our bath and every time when we were having our meals. Dinner we had steamboat. YUM! And the worst was it rained that night. So what they did was played guitar and sing and it was fun. Full of laughers. Then teda Karen and the lighting was scary. But after sometime instead of going to bed we went for a walk again. Alvin and Joseph joined us which made our walking more fun. Had a couple of drinks and danced a little. The guys, Joseph and Alvin couldn’t sleep in their room cos there were ‘extras’ in their room. So, being the seniors, we asked them to sleep in our room. A lot of funny moments happened. Especially with Eling being crazy with the slipper and the lights and the picture of Joseph sleeping. Not forgetting Alvin and the hairdryer.

28th August: Woke up just in time for last minute packing and then went for breakfast. Had a chance to feed the squirrels. Went back to the room to clean up and tengoh-tengoh kalau ada yang tertinggal. Reached the port nearly 1pm. Then bought 1 t-shirt as a souvenir. Forgot to buy the thing that I like most, a key chain…sigh… Had lunch only around 4 something. Made another stop at McD’s. Had dinner at 9 something. Reached college at 1 something the next day. Sono and ELing crashed in our room for a couple of days till the last day that they had to go back to KK. It was really fun having them. We had lots of laughter’s and stories about our others friends that we never knew.

That’s what I did in the month of August before coming back to Penampang Sabah.

Note: Pictures will be up. Something wrong with the connection.

In the month of August

22nd August: Washed clothes late at night and I mean really late like it was around 4 something.

23rd August: Didn’t do that mush except checking my emails and watching movies. Later packed my clothes properly as I was going to Subang the next day and stay overnight. Was suppose to go Penang but cancelled the plan cos there wasn’t enough time. The journey will take about 5-6 hours so staying over for one night was not enough.

24th August: Went down to Subang by the INTI bus. Reached there and went to Pyramid to meet Ethel and keep my things at her place. Then we met up with the rest of the group (Becca, Andy, Lydia, San San & Hirai). We bought tickets to watch a late show ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’. That evening, went to the cell group in Setapak. The place was nice but the people were nicer. If was really fun. Lots of laughter. They had this game where you’ll have to hit someone if that someone doesn’t call someone else’s name. It was really fun. My name was called several times but I manage to call the person who called me. Went back to Pyramid just in time for the movie but actually we were late about 5-10 minutes. Out of the 8 people who went to watch (Becca, Lydia, San San, Hirai, Jonathan, Ivy, Ethel and I) only Ivy and I were laughing out heads off. The storyline was predictable and some scenes were SO computer generated.

25th August: Was woken up by Ivy’s wake up call, got ready for Taman Pertanian Malaysia somewhere in Shah Alam…I think…That place was really huge and tiring. This is what happened. I for one was not dressed for the park. I was wearing sandals and baby-T and slacks. I rented a bike cos it has been long since I’ve ridden on one. At the beginning I was not so sure how will be able to ride it cos it has been VERY long. I nearly fell twice. Luckily I didn’t fall for the third time. I’m sure it would have been pretty bad AND embarrassing. After sometime, I eventually managed to ride the bicycle properly. However, I must say the park was rather disappointing. It was not up to my expectations. But I do like the ‘Rumah Iklim Sederhana’. It’s a place where they build a fake 4 season weather. The time we went it was autumn. It was really nice. That evening, we went back to ICM using the INTI bus from ICSJ. Our next destination….. Redang Island.
