Redang Island

PULAU REDANG

25th August: Got back to college around 8pm and started to pack for Redang that night. Took my bath and continued packing again just to make sure I had enough clothes for the whole trip because this trip was going to be pretty wet. Went to meet the rest of the group at the MPH around 10pm but we left INTI around 11 something. My friend Sono was celebrating her birthday so they had cake and Gin on the bus. I was sleeping on and off on the bus cos of the noise and also the ride was kind of scary. Made a couple of stops for toilet and saw the erm ‘I think it was the tenaga something2 where they had a lot of lights and it was really nice’. OK I have no idea what that place is called.

26th August: Reached the port of Terengganu at 9 something and had to wait for another hour or so just to get on the boat to go to the island. The ride from the port to the island was about an hour and a half. First thing Ivy and I did when we were on the boat was breathe the fresh air. The island was beautiful. The water was clear and the sand was white and just nice la. So we check-in to our rooms. Ivy, Sono, Eling and I in one room. Of cos we were the seniors on the trip and the loudest and craziest. We actually had activity already for the day. Had lunch and they served fish. The food was really good. Had fish, eggs, vegetable and chicken. They even served soup and fruits and jus or syrup. Then after a while had snorkeling. I was a bit nervous cos for one I do not know how to swim and two I didn’t tell my parents that I was going to an island. But I did tell my parents that I was going on a college trip to Terengganu. Ok I lied but I did tell them in the end and they didn’t scold me also. I guess they knew the reason why I did it. Since I didn’t know how to swim the guide actually help me to see the under water creatures and I saw nemo. Sono and I were being pulled, Eling screaming all over the place and Ivy was swimming somewhere. It was really fun and exciting. Dinner was good too. Even though they served the same dish but the recipe was different. Hangout with the group and made some new friends too namely Joseph and Alvin. They are really funny and fun to be around with. We did a lot of lepaking before turning in for the night.

27th August: Couldn’t wake up for breakfast because half of my body was aching from the previous day’s activity of snorkeling and not forgetting the bicycle ride. Missed the morning snorkeling. Had lunch and got ready for the afternoon activity. I didn’t go into the water cos baru makan so I became the camera girl. It was fun taking pictures and I think I’m getting better at it. The last snorkeling was fun cos I got a chance to see a baby shark and nemo and dory. I kena sea sick, luckily didn’t vomit. So the medicine to this problem is, soak your whole head into the sea. In other words rendam your kapala dalam laut. That’s what Ivy told me to do. She pulled me around to on this last activity. Headed back to the room, didn’t bath in the toilet but outside of our room cos the water pressure outside was better than inside. Oh not forgetting there were squirrels looking at us taking our bath and every time when we were having our meals. Dinner we had steamboat. YUM! And the worst was it rained that night. So what they did was played guitar and sing and it was fun. Full of laughers. Then teda Karen and the lighting was scary. But after sometime instead of going to bed we went for a walk again. Alvin and Joseph joined us which made our walking more fun. Had a couple of drinks and danced a little. The guys, Joseph and Alvin couldn’t sleep in their room cos there were ‘extras’ in their room. So, being the seniors, we asked them to sleep in our room. A lot of funny moments happened. Especially with Eling being crazy with the slipper and the lights and the picture of Joseph sleeping. Not forgetting Alvin and the hairdryer.

28th August: Woke up just in time for last minute packing and then went for breakfast. Had a chance to feed the squirrels. Went back to the room to clean up and tengoh-tengoh kalau ada yang tertinggal. Reached the port nearly 1pm. Then bought 1 t-shirt as a souvenir. Forgot to buy the thing that I like most, a key chain…sigh… Had lunch only around 4 something. Made another stop at McD’s. Had dinner at 9 something. Reached college at 1 something the next day. Sono and ELing crashed in our room for a couple of days till the last day that they had to go back to KK. It was really fun having them. We had lots of laughter’s and stories about our others friends that we never knew.

That’s what I did in the month of August before coming back to Penampang Sabah.

Note: Pictures will be up. Something wrong with the connection.
